I know you must think working at CoasterDynamix is often boring and no fun at all, but occasionally we are able to crawl out of our desks and do some fun stuff. Over the past weekend, Dan and Jack went out to Kings Dominion to fix up their custom model (in the gift shop), and take a couple trips on the new Intimidator 305 ride. Both of us blacked out, but from what we hear, that is not uncommon. Here are some pics from our trip: Jack is crawling around, cleaning rails, pushing in tubes. The model was in surprisingly good shape! A quick clean of the track and train and it was back in action.

Looking good from the outside:
And of course, it happened to be Media Day:
One cool thing we were only kind of expecting was that Charm City Cakes was there! Duff had made a cake for the event and guess what was the centerpiece... a CoasterDynamix model! It ran the whole time and drew quite a crowd. Very cool stuff. We did not get to meet Duff unfortunately.

A closeup:
While we were in the area, we decided to make a stop by Busch Gardens Europe to do some maintenance on one of the Griffon displays they have. As always, tons of people crowd around as we're trying to solder wires and fix things.

The next day we went back to Kings Dominion for Opening Day. I personally loved Dominator, so here's a cool shot of it:
It was a fun weekend! More fun stuff to come in the future.
